Since childhood, she has been deeply connected to Thai desserts through the sweet memories of her grandparents’ kitchen — where traditional treats such as Khao Tom Mud – (Sticky Rice with Banana and Coconut), Khanom Tom – (Coconut Rice Dumplings with shredded coconut), Khanom Kluay (Banana in Coconut Milk Dessert), and Khanom Sod Sai were lovingly made. These were not merely desserts, but tender symbols of love, warmth, and family — flavors that shaped her lifelong affection for Thai confections.
As she grew older, Khun Aorn studied under a master of royal Thai dessert craftsmanship, which opened her eyes to the refined artistry and sophistication of Thai sweets. From Khanom Khai Maengda (Egg Sweet Dessert) and Khanom Ja Mongkut to Khanom Thong Phan Rai, each delicacy revealed a new world of elegance, intricacy, and balanced flavors a harmony of beauty and taste.
Driven by passion and a desire to preserve tradition, she founded Bindha by Aorn in Chiang Mai a city renowned as the cultural heart of Lanna. Here, she discovered new inspiration, learning to blend and reinterpret Northern Thai desserts while preserving their essence and authenticity.
